This project challenges the use of sexist language within our daily lives, using a combination of craft and physical computing. I aim to allow users to empathise with the feeling of sexist words being used against you. Sexist language is something that has been engrained into our daily social interactions, so much so that it often becomes overlooked when these words are uttered. This language can be a word like hysterical, ditsy it bossy, all of which are slurs that get attributed primarily to women.

For my final outcome I have designed, sewn and embroidered a touch reactive corset that tells the stories of female experiences of sexist language. Aimed at a male audience, a built in speaker plays specific audios read by the women themselves, almost as if these stories are following the user around. Thus causing the wearer to understand the emotional weight of carrying these sexist experiences around with you each day.
