I am interrogating the influence of exclusionary technology in digital spaces such as social media platforms. This interaction shows a visual representation of minority exclusion online by using trigger words to create the illusion of censorship. When discussing your identity the key words race, sexuality and gender will cause you to be ‘blocked’ or  made ‘invisible’. The reaction itself is still in its early stages and simply causes a black square to appear over the participants face whilst an error noise plays. Based on early computer graphics this visual language has translated into the rest of the interaction shown in the style of equipment used. It has been made using javascript, Posenet and a machine learning model built from my own dataset of collected voices.
